AWARD-WINNING HEALTHCARE: FHC leads Mississippi with 8 HRSA Badges for Quality Healthcare

Once again, Family Health Center, Inc. (FHC) is among the very best community health centers in the United States, according to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). In August of 2025, HRSA released the 2024 list of honorees, and again, Family Health Center earned EIGHT “Community Health Quality Recognition” badges, more than any other community health center in the State of Mississippi.

Community Health Centers who are eligible to receive the Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Be an active Health Center Program awardee or look-alike (LAL).

  • Submit complete and on-time UDS data by the February 15 deadline each CY.

  • Receive acceptable UDS table ratings from UDS Reviewer.

  • Resolve any progressive action conditions by June of the CY.

  • Report on clinical quality measures (CQMs) and patient populations. Use an electronic health record (EHR) to do this. EHRs must be installed at all sites and used by all providers.

Among the eight esteemed badges awarded to Family Health Center, Inc., two stand out from the rest:

  • Health Center Quality Leader (HCQL) – Gold: This means that FHC has the best overall clinical quality measure (CQM) performance based on average Adjusted Quartile Rankings (AQR). HRSA awarded HCQL badges to health centers with AQR averages in the top 30%. Family Health Center, Inc. was awarded the HCQL Gold badge with an AQR average within the top 10%.
  • High-Value Care: This badge is awarded to health centers who meet or exceed a Quality Score of 18 and meet or fall below the the Percentage Cost Growth Benchmark of 2.54%.

Along with the forementioned esteemed badges, FHC was awarded the following badges:

  • Four of the National Quality Leader badges:

    • Behavioral health

    • Cancer screening

    • Diabetes health

    • Heart health

  • The Preventive Health badge
